
Recycle Bins
Recycling Bins are located at the Eckville and Bentley Transfer Sites. The following materials are collected:

Clean Flattened cardboard, newspapers, magazines and other similar paper products

Clean Assorted plastic soft drink containers

Clean #1 and #2 Plastics

Clean glass
-
Clean Tin/Aluminum cans
Do not bag your recycled materials, place items loose in the bins.
Containers must be rinsed. Non-acceptable recycling are Styrofoam, wires and cables, and contaminated fiber.
Recycling Steps:

Rinse and remove caps, labels and lids from all glass items.

Rinse and remove labels from all cans.

Remove labels and loose lids from tin cans and dispose separately.

Rinse, remove labels and caps and crush Code "2" plastic containers.

All cardboard should be flatted, with metal staples / tape / waxed paper / plastic packing slip removed.

Hazardous waste

Styrofoam, including egg containers

Containers with food products inside
Contaminating recycling could result in the entire load being landfilled.
Transfer Site Recycling
The Eckville and Bentley Transfer Sites accepts the following items to be recycled:

Empty oil containers and oil filters

Electronics
-
Tires
-
Batteries
-
Propane tanks (1, 20, 30lb bottles)

Bagged clean twine
-
Mattresses and Box Springs
